Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Bird Dog Scout ("the Platform," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must also consent to these Terms on your behalf before your account is activated.

2. Description of Service

Bird Dog Scout is an athletic recruiting platform connecting baseball players (high school, collegiate summer league, and independent league) with college coaches and professional scouts. Players may create a recruiting profile including performance metrics, photos, and video; coaches and scouts may search these profiles for recruiting purposes.

3. Eligibility and Parental Consent

Players under 18 require verifiable parental or guardian consent before their account is activated. A parent or guardian must confirm consent via email before the player's profile becomes visible to coaches and scouts. Parents and guardians may revoke consent at any time by emailing privacy@birddogscout.com.

4. Accounts and Payment

Player accounts require a one-time payment to activate (currently $369 for HS players, $89 for CSBL/INDY players). This is a single, one-time charge — not a recurring subscription. Coach and scout accounts are free but subject to admin verification before activation.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of any photos, video, and performance data you submit. By submitting content, you grant Bird Dog Scout a license to display it to coaches, scouts, and (if you choose to share it) the public, for the purpose of athletic recruiting. You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload.

6. Coach and Scout Obligations

Coaches and scouts may use player information (contact details, performance data, video) solely for legitimate recruiting purposes. You may not sell, share, or misuse player data outside of this purpose.

7. Your Rights Over Your Data

• You may request that your profile be hidden from coach/scout search results while remaining in the system, by contacting us.
• You may request permanent deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Payment records may be retained as required for financial recordkeeping.
• Parents/guardians of minors may revoke consent at any time, which will deactivate the player's account.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not misrepresent your identity, age, or athletic credentials; harass other users; attempt to access accounts that are not yours; or use the Platform for any purpose other than legitimate athletic recruiting.

9. Disclaimers

Bird Dog Scout does not guarantee recruiting outcomes, scholarship offers, or coach engagement. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
